PhilWeb Foundation

The Foundation was established in June 2010, with the aim of donating one percent of the Company’s annual profit to the Foundation. It aims to create nationwide sustainable programs focused on alleviating poverty, improving standards and accessibility to education, and improving the welfare of deserving communities.

This 2011, PhilWeb Foundation established a scholarship program with the University of the Philippines. This program will be aimed at deserving students in the field of Internet Technology (IT), with the aim of providing scholars their full tuition, plus a living allowance, and ultimately, access to PhilWeb’s IT Management Training Program.

Last March 23, 2011, PhilWeb Foundation officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the University of the Philippines for the IT scholarship program. The scholarships will be awarded to four (4) students of the College of Engineering for the school year of 2011-2012.

The PhilWeb Foundation recognizes that education can change lives, and thus is dedicated to its educational scholarship programs. We believe that great things start from small ideas and we know that this program is a stepping-stone for the foundation to achieve and help more individuals and communities in the future.
